Rose F. Gardner

December 8, 1928 — February 16, 2018

Rose F. Gardner, 89, of Kingston, NY passed away peacefully on Feb. 16, 2018 at her son’s home in New Bern, NC. Rose was born on Sept. 8, 1928 in Kingston, NY to John and Mary Schebilski. A life long Kingston resident, she graduated from Kingston High School in 1946. For many years she worked as a seamstress at a local factory. In 1948 she married Ralph Gardner, the love of her life. Together they built their own home and filled it with love and four children: Linda (Doug) Getman, David (Patricia) Gardner, LeeAnn (Rozell) Hawkins, and Tammy Brewster.



Rose Always had a smile on her face and happily greeted all who entered her home. She enjoyed spending time with her ever growing family and her many friends who often came to visit and gossip. All were welcome to share stories and laughter over coffee, lunch or just a snack. She was also a brave breast cancer survivor. Rose was extremely proud of her many grandchildren: David and Brad Gardner, Jessica Clapper, Taryn and Lisa Lukaszewski, Michelle (Jay) Lockwood, Matthew Hawkins, Tony, Stephen and Kayla Brewster, and many great grandchildren.



Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Thursday February 22nd from 4pm to 7pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday February 23rd at 10am. Burial will follow in Hurley Cemetery, Hurley, NY. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Craven County Health Dept.
